+Faithful+
Ruby believes in being with one person as a meister for as long as she can. She wants to show that she is always on the good side of her friends and even if her friend is wrong she will go down with her friend in their shared wrongness, unless it's something very appealing towards her then she might change her mind.

+Dedicated+
This small girl has a tendency of starting something and not finishing until she's done. If she says she's going to practice until sundown she is out until sundown, not a second sooner. Not only is she dedicated to her work she's dedicated to her relationships with others, she will try her best to remain friends with you until you prove otherwise worthy of that amount of attention and care she gives you. From this dedication to things she can become hard headed but it's not to the point it's frustrating.

+Optimistic+
Despite everything the teen has gone through she does her best to remain positive. She does her best to see everything in a good light and does her best to keep her mind on the good things in life or good things to live for. Ruby wants others to feel as positive about life as she wants to be, wanting to leave some sort of legacy towards other students or those around her.

The advantage of being a sibling and a foster child, she has gained the ability to adapt to almost every situation that is thrown at her. She’s capable of handling herself and is very used to being independent and self reliant.

Ruby has had a lot of time to herself and for studying, she has learned new ways to handle situations or fight others. She also uses her creativity towards the clothes she wears, which she made herself, either through sewing or going to many stores to get them.

-Childish-
Ruby acts childish to go along with her look. Even if she enjoys it most of the time, it's rather tiring for her and she finds it obnoxious if she has to go over the top. Though as much as she dislikes it, she likes it and it's a personality trait she's grown to accept. Although it may bother others she hopes in her actions she will lighten moods or lesson the seriousness of some situations.

-Gullible-
If you tell her there's gullible written on the ceiling she will look, there's no doubt. It probably goes hand in hand with her childish nature, but not only that she trusts people to be telling the truth. She gets embarrassed easily from how gullible she is but she usually laughs about it, not letting small things like that bother her. 

-Forgetful-
The queen at forgetting things. Homework, names, places, recipes, you name it she's probably forgotten it if it's not important to her. If she had glasses she probably wouldn't remember she had them on her face. Ruby is constantly losing her phone but it's most commonly in her pockets, she usually puts it in the front bunny pocket, but sometimes she forgets and sets it in one of her other pockets. She won't forget big things though like projects or important enemies. She will probably forget if she faces a witch a few times and that witch didn't leave an impression on her, she will forget who they are and will admit it to their face if she feels the need.

-Skittish-
If there is any kind of noise or sudden movement that she doesn't recognize she screams. She can't help it really, she's on edge a lot or in her thoughts. Due to the lack of focus she's up and ready to run should it be necessary.

-Deceptive-
Ruby seems as if she's very young, but she does that as a ploy to most of the enemies she faces or others that she's far more innocent and child like than they should believe. She's actually not as childish as she appears, but that side of herself isn't as prevalent as she does her very best to keep that side of herself hidden.

History:
Ruby is the product of a good foster family. She was abandoned at birth but in the hospital, the only family she's ever known took her in. Her family was the perfect suburban family. She is the younger middle child of four, the other three all born to her foster parents. Ruby grew up in a normal environment though things seemed to be odd about her here and there, starting with her fascination towards weapons. With the help of her siblings and her librarian she learned about all types of weapons, youtubing how to use them, how to care for them, and their origins. She wanted to learn it all until one day in middle school. It was an accident. Her eldest brother Parker was helping her use a sword when she turned around and sliced his stomach. 

The next few months were a whirlwind of emotions for Ruby, eventually to the point she fell into a minor depression. Luckily for both herself and Parker, he pulled through. Ruby never left his side unless she had to, clinging to his hand most nights to get sleep. She still harbors guilt for what she's done but due to Parker's can-do attitude and constant optimism she doesn't let it show. She tries very hard now to be the happiest she can be, not only for herself but for him. She wants to show her older brother she too can go through every day with a smile, even if she has to be a bit silly in the process.

While she was in the hospital sitting with Parker, he suggested that she talked to one of his friends, he shared the same affinity towards weapons as she did, so maybe she would be willing to wield them again. His friend walked her home one day from high school and they became friends ever since. Many months into their friendship he allowed her to see his weapon and she asked if she could try wielding her. Begrudgingly the two allowed her to do so and the weapon's wavelength didn't affect Ruby, successfully swinging the sword. Ruby although she was ecstatic, she was terrified, what if she was to hurt someone again like she did Parker? Fortunately, she didn't have very long to dwell on her thoughts as her friend had her at home persuading her parents to allow her to go to DWMA once she's ready, seeing as she was only thirteen at the time. 

Her parents were reluctant but agreed, though Ruby herself didn't agree until two years later when her friend had already graduated with his weapon. Ruby is no longer scared at the idea of going to DWMA, instead she's overjoyed at the thought of being able to fight with weapons that she will have proper training on instead of silly youtube videos.
